Seattle Bound

Happy Saturday Friends!
(source)
By the time this posts Chris and I will have touched down in our "honorary" home town of Seattle, Washington. Neither one of us ever actually lived in Seattle, but we both grew up in Olympia, just a bit to the south.

We have some fun, touristy things planned for our very quick trip. We are going to see some friends and some family, have a fun dinner outing planned and I hope we hit up Pike Place Market.

I can hardly call myself a true Northwesterner because I have never actually been to Pike Place (that I am aware of or can recall).

I have gone to the Space Needle and have eaten dinner in the restaurant there. The views are ah-mazing!

I really wanted to see the Seahawks play the Vikings but Chris didn't like the ticket prices, so it's pretty unlikely we will be doing that.

I also wanted to try to get in to see a matinee of Wicked, but like the last time I tried to see Wicked in Seattle it is sold out! Sad face.

Do you have any must-see/must-do suggestions? Our Sunday is pretty open so far and we aren't sure what we are going to fill our day with.

Have a great weekend!

PS-Don't forget: the need is still great for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. You can text 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross. I am donating blood on Monday in honor of Hurricane Sandy victims and made a monetary donation last week to the Red Cross.

My husband is from Seattle. I really like the Seattle Art Museum. Also, Pike Place Market is a must see. :)
I normally hate touristy stuff but one time we did the duck tour and you really get to see so much of the city and learn a lot. It's fun.

Hi Katie!
Thanks for visiting the blog, and your comment. :-)
We did end up going to the space needle, pike place, Ivar's, and some other fun touristy places. I took lots of pictures so hope to get a blog post up later today.
